The Ahart Staff Index includes 30 items across six domains, each closely aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). Drawing from the research of Dr. John Hattie and scholars using self-determination theory, the survey assesses critical factors such as staff satisfaction, retention, and professional growth, as well as student engagement, well-being, and achievement. In every case, the primary lever of change is school leadership, which is central to our intervention model. 

The Ahart Parent Index includes 30 items across six domains, each closely aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). Based on the research of Dr. Richard Ryan, Dr. Edward Deci, and Dr. John Hattie, the survey assesses critical aspects such as school culture, instruction, and parental involvement, as well as school safety, school leadership, and family retention. These elements provide insights into how well schools foster a welcoming environment, support academic growth, and maintain effective communication, ultimately influencing parent satisfaction, re-enrollment rates, trust, and fundraising efforts.

These elements provide insights into how well schools motivate students and foster a culture of success. 

The Ahart Leader Index includes core items across six research-informed domains—Autonomy, Collective Efficacy, Shared Accountability, Competence, Instructional Leadership, and Data-Driven Improvement. Designed to assess leadership team dynamics, the survey captures beliefs about decision-making freedom, shared responsibility, instructional quality, and strategic use of data. Global items measure leader satisfaction and retention, while open-ended responses provide deeper insights into challenges like teacher attrition and school-family communication. This anonymous, evidence-based tool supports leadership development and helps schools strengthen the systems that drive teacher success and student outcomes. 

The Virtuous Motivation Index is a 12-minute, anonymous assessment developed from established Self-Determination Theory (SDT) frameworks and character education research. It measures six distinct types of student motivation—ranging from lack of motivation to external rewards, social approval, personal values, and genuine interest—culminating in a new focus: Virtuous Motivation. This innovative tool provides schools with meaningful insights into how students internalize purpose, build character, and stay engaged, helping foster learning environments that promote intrinsic drive, ethical development, and long-term success. 

 The Collective Efficacy Index includes 40 research-based items that assess how school staff collaborate, lead, and support student success. Aligned with Hattie's work and expanded to all staff, the survey measures shared beliefs in professional capacity, instructional coherence, leadership support, behavioral management, and goal alignment. It captures key drivers like reflective practice, teacher autonomy, and staff tenacity. Completed in 12 minutes and fully anonymous, the index helps schools identify strengths, guide leadership development, and strengthen systems that drive higher student achievement.
