The Ahart Pulse

The Ahart Pulse  (Tier 1) is a fully automated, research-based feedback suite for schools and districts. Tier 1 includes the Staff, Parent, and Student Indexes—three anonymous, benchmarked surveys designed to monitor trust, engagement, and satisfaction across your school community. Built on 2.1 million responses and grounded in educational research, each index adjusts for key variables (like student grade level) to ensure accurate, actionable insights. Results are delivered instantly through the Ahart Portal, with unlimited survey runs, role-specific dashboards, and national comparisons—no setup or coordination required.

Staff Index

The Ahart Staff Index includes 30 items across six domains, each closely aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). Drawing from the research of Dr. John Hattie and scholars using self-determination theory, the survey assesses critical factors such as staff satisfaction, retention, and professional growth, as well as student engagement, well-being, and achievement. In every case, the primary lever of change is school leadership, which is central to our intervention model.

Parent Index

The Ahart Parent Index includes 30 items across six domains, each closely aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). Based on the research of Dr. Richard Ryan, Dr. Edward Deci, and Dr. John Hattie, the survey assesses critical aspects such as school culture, instruction, and parental involvement, as well as school safety, school leadership, and family retention. These elements provide insights into how well schools foster a welcoming environment, support academic growth, and maintain effective communication, ultimately influencing parent satisfaction, re-enrollment rates, trust, and fundraising efforts.

Student Index

The Ahart Student Index includes 30 research-based items across six domains aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). Grounded in the work of Dr. John Hattie and Dr. Richard Ryan, the survey measures critical student experiences such as behavior and discipline, peer connection, well-being, persistence, motivation, engagement, and school belonging. Scores are automatically adjusted for grade level—the strongest predictor of student survey variation—to ensure accurate comparisons across campuses and over time. These insights help leaders understand how effectively their schools are fostering a culture where students thrive.
